A man witnesses to his faith

Appalled as I am by the false-clever philosophizing of conservative Christian philosophers,  and by the newly converted (Orthodox Christianity is in),  and by jazzy Christian podcasters, and by archbishops and bishops who love their gowns more than their abused congregants, and by the North American god of Us First; and by the prosperity-seekers-in-Christ,

I have never doubted the faith of David unafraid to witness to the straightforward Christian gospel, as was and is.

And this because I know that, even if I have no   personal God, I am nonetheless called to godly virtues:

an active, mature LOVE of all sentient brings including the earth herself  no matter what else is going on.

(And to BEAUTY).

And I am grateful for the example of his unafraid and loving witness.

“He has made everything beautiful
in its time. He has set eternity in
the human heart.” – King Solomon

  1. Very much appreciated, Sarah 🙏

Yes, the Gospel message has been
    twisted, and misrepresented, since
it fell into the hands of men. But yet,
    from Martin Luther, through to
Martin Luther King Jr., mighty works
have been done (usually by tragically
flawed people) with only the words &
the example of Jesus for inspiration.

    1. Yes.
Mighty works and words from flawed and inspired people yet to come! Your own words not unmighty either. Not to speak of MM’s images.
