Winterthur, Delaware, legacy of Henry Francis du Pont, 1880-1969, American

 

The young gardeners have dried and displayed,

along with a hornet’s nest and varieties of gourds,

some of the flowers which they have grown in the garden around the garden shed and Henry Francis du Pont’s now glass-less glass houses.

 

 

 

Among other plants: a variety of goldenrod, zinnia, two forms of amaranth, lavender, Hyacinth bean.

 

 

Autumn has slipped in while the ruckus of the world continues as if there were no tomorrow.
