Queen Anne’s Lace (Daucus carota)

member of the carrot family; non-native, invasive, edible root, flowers, seed and leaves. Very beautiful flowers in August and September.

 

Has to be distinguished from poison hemlock, the killer of Socrates, which is in the same family.
