Martagon lilies are in bloom now.

They bloom in June and sometimes in July.  They are Eurasian in origin.

The colours range from white and pale pink to grey-pink and pale lilac to gold-bronze, bright yellow, orange, and deep reds. 

 

 

 

They have been planted under the azalea and rhodendron bushes in Winterthur. 

 

Ram-rod straight stems, some as tall 5′.
